The highly competitive European Research Council (ERC) Grants provide long-term funding for excellent investigators and their teams to pursue pioneering frontier research projects. The 2022 round of calls for the ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants will open in autumn this year.

The SFT is hosting this online (Zoom) information event for JMU researchers who are considering applying for an ERC grant and who would like to find out more about the programme.

Participants will be introduced to the grants scheme by Dominik Maas (KoWi Kooperationsstelle EU der Wissenschaftsorganisationen) and will get first-hand insights into the proposal writing and evaluation process by JMU's successful ERC grantee Prof. Dr. Lars Dölken and former ERC panel member Prof. Dr. Caroline Kisker. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.
