CEMES makes its research available through three open access publication formats:

CEMES Studies in Messianism (CSM)

CEMES Studies in Messianism is a peer-reviewed book series published on behalf of the Käte Hamburger Center for Studies in Messianism (CEMES, University of Würzburg). Dedicated to innovative research on messianic ideas, movements, agents, motives, and narratives, the series publishes monographs and edited volumes that advance the interdisciplinary study of messianism from cultural, religious, historical, philosophical, and political perspectives.

The CSM is edited by Barbara Schmitz and Christian Wehr in cooperation with De Gruyter Brill (Berlin/Boston).

CEMES Working Papers in Messianism (CPM)

CEMES Working Papers is a free, open access working paper series of the Käte Hamburger Center for Studies in Messianism (CEMES). Designed to facilitate the timely dissemination of ongoing research on messianic ideas, movements, agents, motives, and narratives, the series provides a platform for the presentation and discussion of new ideas, preliminary findings, and emerging perspectives in the study of messianism and related fields.

The CPM is edited by Barbara Schmitz and Christian Wehr in cooperation with OPUS Würzburg, the open access service of the University of Würzburg.

CEMES Living Handbook of Messianism (CHM)

The CEMES Living Handbook of Messianism is a continuously expanding open access project developed and edited by the Käte Hamburger Center for Studies in Messianism (CEMES) in cooperation with the Center for Philology and Digitality (ZPD, University of Würzburg). Bringing together contributions from leading international scholars, it provides entries to key concepts, traditions, texts, figures, and debates in the study of messianism across historical periods, religious traditions, and cultural contexts.
