About

Based on research and teaching experience with international students, this talk explores intercultural interactions in university environments. It addresses key questions, including what makes a campus truly international-friendly that supports both local and international students while benefiting the institution as a whole. The talk will also present resources created within the CHARM-EU framework to support more effective and meaningful intercultural encounters.

About the speaker - Lan Anh Nguyen-Luu, Ph.D. is a Vietnamese-born, Budapest-based intercultural/social psychologist. She is a full professor at the Institute of Intercultural Psychology and Education, Faculty of Education and Psychology, Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. Her primary areas of research interest include acculturation of migrants and international students, intergroup relations, cultural and ethnic identity, gender beliefs, and teachers’ attitudes toward diversity. She is also an intercultural trainer.
