You are new at the University of Würzburg or are about to start studying with us, and you have lots of questions about living and studying here?
Our volunteer tutors will be very happy to support you, to help you settle in at uni and in Würzburg and to accompany you to appointments at authorities.
If you want a permanent tutor to accompany you as you start your programme at Würzburg, please complete the following form by 11.8.

You want to get to know international students in Würzburg and help them settle in here? Maybe you are an international student yourself and want to share your experiences with new incoming ones? Or you recently completed your own study abroad experience and realised how important it is to have people you can contact when you need help?
Join our team of tutors!
Our volunteer tutors help new international students with any issues they may face when they arrive here - from registering with the residents’ registration office and opening a bank account through to activating their SIM cards. The tutors help them find their way around campus and around the city and also explain one or two German quirks.
At the end of the semester, each tutor will receive a certificate to confirm their participation in the programme.
We are planning to hold information events in January 2026 for people who want to join our team of tutors in the 2026 summer semester. Registrations for these events will be accepted through this website starting in late November 2025.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: As our tutors mainly help with administrative formalities, they must have a very good command of the German language. By signing up for our tutoring programme, you agree to its code of conduct.
