Enrolment & Semester Fees
The online-enrollment is only possible after having received admission (you can find information about the application for admission here). You can do the online enrolment (online registration) before or after your arrival in Würzburg. The online portal for enrolment opens 2 or 3 months before the semester starts. For further information regarding online enrolment, please contact your person in charge.
When enrolling online, you must upload your documents digitally.
The following documents are required:
- Certificate of general qualification for university entrance (i.e. High School Diploma; if applicable in combination with: Certificate of successfully completed assessment exam (If you attended "Studienkolleg") / Certificate of university entrance exam (if you completed one in your home country)
- University transcript of records or certificate of degree (If you already studied at an university)
- Offcial translations of your certificates into German or English (if they were not originally issued in English)
- Valid visa/residence permit
- Passport copy
- Proof of payment
- CV
- Preliminary Review (VPD) from uni-assist (if you had to submit them with your application for admission)
- Certificate of German proficiency (if you had to submit them with your application for admission

certificate from the Academic Evaluation Center (Akademische Prüfstelle - APS) (applicable for students who graduated in China, India or Vietnam)
Please note: Applicants for admission-restricted Bachelor's degree programs must submit the documents listed on their application for enrollment to the International Office Incoming (Sanderring 2, 97070 Würzburg) via post after they have successfully completed the online enrollment.
Also make sure that you have health insurance and paid the semester fee.
As soon as we received and checked your documents we will complete your enrolment and inform you when your student card is ready to be picked up. If your documents are incomplete, we will inform you accordingly.
There are no tuition fees at the University of Würzburg.
But all student have to pay a semester contribution of €168,50 before they can be enroled (Break down of the contribution: Student Services fee: 72.00 € + semester ticket: 96,50 €)
You can pay this amount before or after your arrival in Würzburg. It is important that you transfer the amount before your enrolment and submit the proof of payment at the International Office Incoming (see above).
The semester fee can only be paid by bank transfer. Bank transfer details will be included with your Letter of Acceptance.
