Application and Admission for Programme Students

Erasmus study abroad experiences, student exchanges under a partnership/student exchange agreement (incl. the Coimbra Group Student Exchange Network and the Swiss European Mobility Programme), holders of scholarships or grants provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Fulbright, FGAC; please enquire about other programmes.

If your home university does not have a partnership agreement with the University of Würzburg and you have not been selected for a scholarship programme, under certain conditions it is possible to spend an exchange semester at the University of Würzburg as a so-called freemover.

You will have to apply directly to your home university/the scholarship or grant sponsor.

If you are selected for participation, your home university/sponsor* will nominate you to us.

Deadlines for nominations to the University of Würzburg:

30 April for winter intake

30 November for summer intake

Click here to find out what language requirements you will have to meet to qualify for admission as an exchange student.

AFTER your home university/sponsor has nominated you to us, we will email you a link that will take you to our online registration form.

*Some sponsors do not contact the host universities with nominations. If that is the case for your sponsor, please email us at exchange-international@uni-wuerzburg.de before the deadline for nominations has passed and let us have a letter from your sponsor confirming that they have awarded the scholarship or grant to you.

AFTER your home university/sponsor has nominated you to us, we will email you a link that will take you to our online registration form.
