The International Office has its own Erasmus contracts with European universities. (Almost) all students at the University of Würzburg have the opportunity to apply for an Erasmus stay.

University of Groningen
Please note the following information
- Please research independently in advance whether your subject is offered at the above-mentioned university and whether you have the necessary language skills to take part in courses in the language(s) of instruction.
- If you already have an Erasmus contract with the above-mentioned universities for your subject, it is unfortunately not possible to apply via the International Office.
- Language skills in the language of instruction must always be demonstrated when applying, but additional knowledge of the national language will significantly improve your application.
- Not every subject can be studied at the universities listed!
Application procedure
Applications for the academic year 2027/28 are made via a central online form in the MoveOn online portal. You have the option of specifying up to three preferred universities. The application deadline is 15.01.2027.

- Curriculum vitae in tabular form (in English)
- Letter of motivation (in English)
- Letter of recommendation - Please only use our template. Our Notes on the assessment(281 KB, barrier-free) clarify initial questions and help you and your assessor.
- Overview of academic performance (English printout from WueStudy)
- Language certificate - Please note our Notes on the language certificate(70 KB, barrier-free)
- BA certificate, if applicable

Grants and scholarships
- Tuition fee waiver
- Erasmus mobility grant of 540,00€ - 600,00€/month (depending on the Erasmus country group allocation)
- Additional monthly financial top-up of €250.00/month for First degree students& Students with a chronic illness and/or disability (from a GdB of 20)
- Funding for additional travel days: up to 2 days when travelling by non-sustainable means of transport (car, motorbike, plane, ship), up to 6 days when travelling by sustainable means of transport and prior application ("Green Travel", bus, train, bicycle, carpooling with at least 2 Erasmus students from JMU)
- Erasmus Online Linguistic Support (online language course)
