What should I study?

The University of Würzburg offers a gifted psychology counselling service for high school graduates and students who are unsure about their choice of subject or their future career orientation: The orientation counselling. In a personal discussion, for example, interests and abilities can be worked out together and the advantages and disadvantages of various alternatives can be considered.

In addition to the general self-assessments, subject-specific online self-tests allow students to assess their own abilities with regard to individual selected degree programmes. Participants work on tasks with the respective subject-specific background and also receive information about studying and living in Würzburg. The results feedback provides an assessment of their own fit with the requirements of the degree programme.

If you are thinking about studying to become a secondary school teacher but are unsure about what to expect, the University of Würzburg has a special offer: Secondary school mentor Corinna Hauck, a seconded teacher, offers counselling on teaching at secondary schools directly from professional practice with the opportunity to shadow teachers.
