Digital Insights: Presentations
We are kicking off the year with the new chair of the alumni association and a former member of the German Council of Economic Experts, discussing the ‘Digital Euro’, and we warmly invite you to join us for a digital insight into the future of payment methods in Europe!
With the Digital Euro, the European Central Bank aims to create a digital form of cash. The Digital Euro is intended to be usable anytime, anywhere. It is designed to strengthen the euro area’s monetary policy sovereignty and promote competition in European payments.
This major ECB project raises many fundamental questions. What are the benefits for consumers, retailers and banks? What costs are involved? What risks does it pose to the stability of the financial system?
Funding Opportunities for Scientists – Dr Jörn Achterberg and Mechthild Köhler from the DFG will present information and a range of programmes.
