Successfully Completed Projects

With the support of many alumni, we have so far successfully carried out five alumni fundraising projects. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters once again from the bottom of our hearts! Through your contributions, you have helped shape and improve the University of Würzburg!

The diversity of the projects demonstrates how alumni, through their commitment, contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage, the promotion of science and culture, and the sustainable development of the campus.

Hubland Nord ‘Island of Ideas’ Project: A sustainable outdoor meeting and workspace for students, staff and alumni is being created to foster creative ideas and interdisciplinary exchange.

Tower Clock Project: The historic tower clocks of the Neubaukirche have been fully refurbished and, following restoration, once again shine in all their splendour above the rooftops of Würzburg.

Music Sponsorship Project: Replicas of historical musical instruments brought the special exhibition ‘MUS-IC-ON’ to life, allowing visitors to experience music history first-hand.

Book Sponsorship Project: Valuable, badly damaged books from the University Library have been restored and digitised to preserve cultural heritage for research and scholarship.

Neubaukirche Upholstery Project: The seat and back cushions of the chairs in the Neubaukirche were replaced, and the solid wood frames refurbished – a historic site has been restored to its former glory.
