Science Slam

Thank you very much!

Dr. Isabell Ramming and Prof. Hans-Georg Weigand took the top spots at our Science Slam anniversary event. With around 1,600 guests in attendance, both slams were sold out and have now made it possible to award two Germany Scholarships – thank you all! Thanks also to presenter Johannes Keppner, all the slammers and everyone involved.

The 7 x 7 format remains!

As always, the fields of study and topics of the presentations are very diverse. Alumni, professors, PhD students and research assistants from JMU and THWS will compete against one another to win over the audience. Cartoons, experiments, live singing – in this academic short-talk tournament, anything goes to elicit the loudest applause from the audience. This year’s slammers come from a wide variety of departments, and you can look forward to an evening packed with diverse content!

The next slam takes place on Friday, 13 November from 7–9 pm at Z6!! Doors open at 6.30 pm

The entry fee is €6, with the proceeds from the evening going towards the Germany Scholarship . The Alumni Science Slam is a collaboration between the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt and the City of Würzburg.
