Tasks

We are making sure, everything is lawful and proper, with a special focus on the following responsibilities:

  • Legal matters relating to university law and academic self-administration, in particular basic regulations and regulations for university institutions.
  • Legal disputes relating to study and examination law, including objection proceedings and legal representation in court
  • Legal matters in capacity procedures
  • Legal matters in the area of construction and property management
  • Legal matters from the area of budgeting
  • Legal disputes arising from civil service law, including representation in court
  • Data protection law
  • Legal matters in the area of general and special administrative law
  • Civil law matters, in particular contract law
  • Research contracts and research collaborations, third-party funding contracts
  • Legal issues relating to sponsorship

  • Legal disputes arising from labour law
  • Copyright and competition law
  • Legal matters in the area of procurement, in particular legal issues in the area of public procurement law
  • Liability and insurance law, in particular road traffic accident law and (property) damage compensation matters (outside of occupational accident insurance)
  • Criminal law matters and domiciliary rights including legal representation

  • Student accident matters - "accident report" form
  • Election matters
  • Official publications of the university

 

For legal reasons, it is not possible to provide legal information on private matters to members of the University.
