Fake e-mails are currently circulating that claim to come from the University of Würzburg. In these emails, recipients are promised jobs at the university, often even in combination with a flat. The fraudsters ask the recipients to transfer a certain amount of money in advance in order to be allowed to come to Würzburg and work at the university.

Please note that these emails do not originate from the University of Würzburg. The University never requests money transfers in connection with job offers.

If you have received such an e-mail, please ignore it and report the incident to the e-mail address job-scamming@uni-wuerzburg.de. You can contact the same address if you have any doubts as to whether a letter you have received from the University of Würzburg is genuine.
