15.01.2023, 16:00-18:00 Uhr c.t.: Occupational fields in the public sector  | Bianca Sievert, Coach,Trainerin

The public sector has been in demand as a field of activity since March 2020, and not just since the changes in the reality of work. Due to its broad spectrum of occupational fields, which are constantly changing, the public sector is attractive for university graduates from all disciplines. The public sector encompasses more than just the civil service - it also includes all institutions that pursue non-profit purposes or so-called public enterprises (public utilities, savings banks, public transport, etc.). In the so-called third sector, these are separate forms of company (e.g. foundations, church institutions, associations, etc.), which often also have their own collective bargaining systems. This sector thus provides the most jobs in Germany - but is structured quite heterogeneously.

Contents and topics:

  • In the lecture, various fields of activity in the public sector are mentioned and tips are given on how to develop individual fields of activity.
  • The public sector and the specifics of the public service will be discussed.
  • The students get a first insight into the large professional field of the public sector and are encouraged to explore this field independently.
  • The lecture is divided into individual topic clusters - so that there is also the possibility of exchange in between.
