Projects for students

At JMU, we offer exciting projects and regular events for students of all ages. Our general programmes are suitable for pupils who would like to get a taste of university life. In addition, the individual departments offer activity and project days for the respective school subjects.

Get a taste of university life

Children's university

The children's university takes place on two Saturdays per semester. Children between the ages of 6 and 13 can attend a child-orientated lecture and get a taste of university for the first time. The lectures provide exciting insights into important world issues.

School university

The student university is aimed at 8th to 10th graders from grammar schools and secondary schools in Würzburg and the surrounding area. JMU professors get to the bottom of exciting questions from their fields of research.

Early studies

Gifted and high-achieving pupils can attend regular courses in many subjects as early students from year 10 onwards.

Unitag

Do you want to find out more about where your passions lie and what you want to study later? Then come to university on Fridays for a semester and make every Friday your unit day!

Study Info Day (SIT)

Get to know our degree programmes at our Study Info Day (SIT) on 04.03.2026! You can expect exciting lectures, information stands from the faculties and an afternoon programme of interactive workshops and lab tours.

Taster programme

For five weeks, from 27 May to 3 July 2026, prospective students can attend a wide range of teaching and information events regularly or occasionally attend, to get to know the study programme and get a taste of the study atmosphere.

Spend one or more days with students in your chosen subject at the university (you can register online at any time).

Tandem days

During the Whitsun or autumn holidays, join a small group of students from your chosen subject for a day at university.

University Information Days (HIT)

More than 30 universities will be presenting their degree programmes at the Federal Employment Agency's University Information Days. The University of Würzburg will also be there - come along on 23 and 24 September 2026 and find out more about studying at the University of Würzburg!

uni@school

Our student ambassadors will be happy to come to your school and talk about their studies and everyday life at university. Teachers can contact the Central Student Advisory Service if they are interested.

The Synopsis Kolleg - networked thinking, studying together!

The one-year certificate programme (60 ECTS credits) is aimed at young people with A-levels who want to find out more about their personal interests, strengths and goals before deciding on a degree course. In this first year at university, you will learn more about the fascinating diversity of the sciences and their potential for solving important issues of the future.
