Quality objectives revisited
Background
The current study and teaching-related quality quality objectives of the University of Würzburg were drawn up in 2012 as part of the preparations for system accreditation. They form the basis for the quality objectives of the faculties, which in turn are reflected in the qualification objectives of the individual degree programmes. It is a guiding principle for teaching and aims to continuously improve the quality of study programmes. After a good ten years of existence, the system reaccreditation now provides an opportunity to revise the quality objectives in their entirety. This also includes the future renaming of the quality objectives as the mission statement for teaching.
Procedure
1 In the course of the revision, teaching staff, students and other key stakeholders were asked to evaluate the status quo of the quality objectives and their suggestions by means of an online survey. Further information on the survey design and a summary of the results can be found here.
2 In the next step, a working group will be formed consisting of representatives of students, faculties, central institutions and the central administration. This working group will develop an initial new draft based on the results of the survey.
3. the draft will be fed back to the people involved in step 2 and discussed.
4) The final version is then discussed with the deans of studies, whose feedback rounds off the quality objectives.
5. in the final step, the new quality objectives are to be adopted by the university management and then published.
