Conserving resources at the Hubland campus, enabling the participation of people and other living beings and creating a place that invites people to linger - these are the goals of the ideas competition “Ein Raum für Viele(s)! My sustainable campus” (“A space for many! My sustainable campus”). As part of the Sustainability Challenge, the joint project REKLINEU and the WueLAB of the University of Würzburg (JMU) are now looking for creative suggestions from employees, especially from the science-supporting areas at Hubland.

“We want to know from them: What constitutes a sustainable campus for you? What measures do you suggest, what new ideas do you have?”, says Prof. Michaela Fenske, head of REKLINEU sub-project 10. “We would like to implement the best suggestions concretely if possible.” To take part, all employees need to do is submit a one- to two-page proposal by e-mail. The deadline is 15 February 2024.

Attractive prizes for the best proposals

All ideas received will be evaluated by a jury consisting of members of the university management, REKLINEU and WueLAB. Joint submissions by several people are also possible.

The six best ideas will be awarded prizes worth a total of 375 euros in the coming summer semester. Further information on the Sustainability Challenge can be found on the website of the Chair of European Ethnology / Empirical Cultural Studies
