CHARM-EU Hybrid Active Learning Classroom Experience

The University of Würzburg has been part of the European university alliance CHARM-EU since 2022. CHARM-EU stands for a challenge-orientated, accessible, research-based and mobile higher education model in line with European values and the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Alliance currently consists of 9 Alliance members from different European universities and colleges. Students from the five founding universities are enrolled in the Master's programme "Global challenges for sustainability"; from 2025, the Master's programme can also be studied at JMU. Further educational programmes, such as Transnational Online Learning, are being planned.

As part of the "Woche der europäischen Hochschulen" initiated by the DAAD, universities from the various alliances will provide insights into their programmes and activities. JMU is organising a "Hybrid Active Learning Classroom Experience" for this occasion. After a short onboarding on CHARM-EU, there will be the opportunity to follow a live session from the CHARM-EU Master's programme. Two hybrid rooms (in Barcelona and Budapest) will be connected and interested observers from the partner universities will join in. In order to be able to experience the hybrid teaching and learning setting as implemented in CHARM-EU as authentically as possible, the event will take place on site. However, you can also join in online. Afterwards there will be a Q & A session.
