Vegan Cafeteria

A vegan week has already been held twice with great success at the Burse and the Mensateria, organized by the Department of Ecology in cooperation with the Würzburg Student Services.

The goal was not to offer exclusively vegan food, but to reverse the ratio: instead of three meat dishes and one vegetarian dish, there were now three vegetarian/vegan dishes and fewer meat options in the cafeterias.

For this occasion, the chefs of the Student Services were even specially trained in preparing vegan dishes!

In 2013, the Student Services conducted a survey in all cafeterias in Würzburg, Schweinfurt, Bamberg, and Aschaffenburg. Among other things, the Veggie Thursday was an occasion to ask users about their preferences, wishes, and opinions regarding the food on site. The Department of Ecology analyzed this data and presents the results to students on informational posters.
