Presidential Commission for Quality in Teaching and Learning
The Presidential Commission for Quality in Teaching and Learning (PfQ) was established in the summer semester of 2013 in order to better anchor quality management in the faculties and to create a platform in which the building blocks available at the university can be brought together to form a holistic quality management system.
The core tasks of the PfQ include the (further) development and establishment of quality management structures and processes, recommending the use of quality development instruments (e.g. subject audits) and preparing the internal accreditation of degree programmes by the university management, which is responsible for overseeing the university's QM system, including reporting and processes.
The composition of the PfQ
The PfQ is made up of representatives from all faculties, an external member who belongs to another university, the university's Women's Representative and two students. It is chaired by the Chancellor. The Vice President for Studies, Teaching and Quality Management is also a member and has the right to deputise for the chair. The members of the university management do not have the right to vote in the committee.
