QM reporting

The management system for studies and teaching is flanked by a reporting system covering all organisational levels. At degree programme level, the Dean of Studies is informed about developments in the range of courses offered in a subject in the previous academic year (winter semester and the following summer semester) in annual subject reports. This is the responsibility of the subject coordinators in cooperation with the respective subject committee.

Teaching report

At faculty level, the Dean of Studies - as stipulated in the Bavarian Higher Education Act (Art. 30 para. 2-3 BayHSchG) - reports once a year in the teaching report on the situation of studying and teaching at the faculty in the previous academic year. In addition to the faculty's subject reports and the survey results at faculty level, the teaching report is based on a set of key figures which - in future on a specific date - will be made available from various systems by the central administration.

Smaller faculties, which only have one or two subjects and can clearly present the quality of individual degree programmes, compile a combined teaching and subject report. Larger faculties subdivide into several subject reports and bundle these into the teaching report.

Quality report for teaching and learning

With the annual internal university quality report which is based on the teaching reports from the faculties as well as information from the central administration and other central institutions, the university management reports to the university public on the situation in the area of teaching and learning and, in particular, on the results of instruments and processes for quality development. The quality report is also submitted to the StMWK.
