Potential analysis - Well prepared for the mentoring interview

Date: 01/23/2026, 2:15 PM - 5:45 PM
Category: Fakultät für Humanwissenschaften, seminar
Organizer: Career Centre
Speaker: Ingrid Schindler

The mentoring programme brings students or mentees together with alumni or mentors from the University of Würzburg. The mentors pass on their experience to the mentees and offer, for example, career guidance or support with starting a career.
The framework of the programme is initially a 4h workshop at the Career Centre, in which the self-presentation is strengthened through the guidance of a potential analysis, so that you can go into your discussions with the mentors with more precise ideas.
Topics include:

  • Identifying and recognising your own potential, concretising it and implementing it (more) consistently
  • Self-perception and perception of others (the Johari window)
  • What motivates me?
  • Personal success and career planning
  • Formulating and realising goals

For participants in the mentoring programme, this is followed by a kick-off event that serves as an introduction and a feedback round including the distribution of certificates of participation.
