Date: 05/13/2024, 7:00 PM - 05/17/2024, 2:00 PM
Category: Tagung, Veranstaltung
Organizer: Global Teacher Education JMU

Vom 13. bis 17. Mai 2024 findet die vierte Go TEd Week an der JMU statt. Diesjähriges Thema ist "Global views on the ideal school". Es werden verschiedene Perspektiven auf die ideale Schule und verschiedene Möglichkeiten zum Austausch mit anderen internationalen Gemeinschaftsmitgliedern geboten. Die Veranstaltung wird in Englischer Sprache stattfinden.

We invite you to join us for an enriching exploration of what constitutes the perfect educational environment:

  • How should a school be designed to ensure that every student receives the best possible education?
  • How can a conducive learning environment be created and critical thinking be taught?
  • How can unique personalities and characters be supported individual talents be nurtured, and diverse aptitudes be equally encouraged?
  • How can joy, creativity, and a sense of community be fostered?
  • What is the role of the teacher, what the role of new technologies?

These are just some of the questions we will raise and for which we will seek the expertise of speakers from different educational disciplines around the world.

What to expect

  • Different perspectives: Listen to and discuss with international speakers who will identify characteristics of a good school and take a stand on them based on their professional knowledge and (national) educational traditions – students’ and trainee teachers’ perspectives included
  • International Market: Whether you dream of studying abroad or simply wish to expand your worldview, embark on a global journey at the “international market”, where students share their insights into international universities, schools and cultures based on their firsthand experiences.
  • World Café: Exchange ideas with fellow attendees from diverse backgrounds, whether you intent to 1) expand your research network 2) establish international partnerships 3) have a closer look at topics such as “methodologies in teacher education” or “education for sustainable development” within a global community.
  • School excursion: Learn about the unique educational concept of the Lietz boarding school village Haubinda – We have reserved a whole day for a visit (limited places).

We would be delighted to welcome as many of you as possible and engage in enriching exchanges together.

We look forward to the opportunity to connect and learn from one another.
