Teaching at JMU

At the University of Würzburg, lecturers instruct 25,088 students in ten faculties in around 280 degree programmes for high-skilled professions.

With a wide range of advisement and support programmes, we accompany our students through the entirety of their studies, from the introductory phase to successful completion of their degree.

Our lecturers are committed to carrying out these support tasks to the best of their ability, and they actively endeavor to provide high quality, innovative teaching.

A day of appreciation and visibility for teaching! The university-wide Teaching Day focuses on the topic of teaching and learning. The program promotes exchange between lecturers and students about teaching at our university.

Center for Teaching and Learning

The CTL is a central institution of the University of Würzburg for the science-based development of academic studies and teaching. In cross-university projects, it promotes innovation, attractive and high-quality degree programmes and the professionalisation of teaching. Educational Development, Writing Center and teaching-related third party funded projects are all part of the CTL.
