It is our pleasure to announce the first 3D Tissue Infection Symposium, an international symposium in the field of infection biology to be held in Würzburg from April the 5th-7th, 2019.
The focus of the 3D T.I.S. is the use of complex 3D human tissue cultures for host-pathogen interaction research. The three-day symposium includes talks by distinguished national and international speakers.
This symposium aims to provide a platform for early stage researchers as well as experienced scientists and professionals from academia and the pharmaceutical industry. Furthermore, it is a great opportunity for an exciting educational and practical update and collaborations. We cannot wait to welcome you in the beautiful city of Würzburg for high-level educational meeting filled with interesting discussions.

The GRK 2157 and the Research Center for Infectious Diseases (ZINF) met for a first common retreat. The graduate students and PIs of the GRK attended the presentations given by selected ZINF members and members of the ZINF scientific advisory board.
During the second day all GRK graduate students presented and discussed their projects with the PIs and the external scientific advisory board of the GRK 2157.
