About us
The WueLAB – the Sustainability Laboratory at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg – is a central research institution that harnesses the university’s innovative potential and serves as a hub for transdisciplinary sustainability studies.
We promote cultures of sustainability in research, teaching, administration and operations – understood holistically as environmental, economic and social sustainability in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Through transformation experiments, we test innovative approaches to socio-ecological transformation. These projects are open to all members of the university and bring together academia, administration, students and societal stakeholders as part of a whole-institution approach.
