Susanne Marx

For more than 30 years, I have been advising and supporting people in work situations. These often involve conflictual situations: conflicting interests, bad previous experiences weighing on the current collaboration, the “chemistry” just not being right, etc.
As a conflict consultant, I know...
- that it is a relief to know more about the dynamics and nature of conflicts
- that – even when emotions are at the forefront – the factual, structural, and strategic aspects of a conflict are relevant for analysis and clarification
- that talking to others about it and thinking about possible solutions together creates distance
- that sometimes even small steps and approaches can pave the way to a solution
- that constructive communication is contagious
- and that nevertheless, not everything can be clarified and resolved; we also have to accept the limits of conflict management.
All of this has been incorporated into my working methods since 1992: activating, attentive, resource- and solution-oriented, pragmatic.
I look forward to discussing all of these aspects in the workshop “Conflict Resolution as a Management Task” and to providing you with ideas for addressing conflicts in your role as a manager and resolving them in the best possible way.
