ESF for a strong Europe

The European Social Fund (ESF) is the most important instrument of the EuUnion's most important instrument for promoting employment in Europe. It improves access to jobs, provides training and supports social integration.

The ESF supports labour market-related projects at local, regional and national level. In this way, the ESF brings Europe to life in Germany.

In co-operation with the member states of the European Union, the ESF pursues the following goals

• a high level of employment,
• equal rights for men and women
• sustainable development and
• economic and social cohesion in the European Union
