Scholarships for female researchers and female students
09/15/2026The Office of the University Women’s Representative has announced two scholarship schemes. Female researchers and students who are interested can apply by 30 September.
SCIENTIA Fellowships
Fellowships for female researchers funded by the Bavarian Gender Equality Programme: The aim of this funding is to prepare early-career female researchers for a professorship or a leadership position. The programme is designed to support female researchers particularly during periods of transition, for example when preparing an application for funding from a third-party funding body. Early-career female researchers (with a PhD) from all disciplines are eligible to apply; the next application deadline is 30 September 2026. In exceptional cases, scholarships to complete a PhD may also be awarded.

Dr Romana Schott Fund
This funding is aimed at female students who, despite facing obstacles, have remained determined to pursue an academic degree. In particular, scholarships may be awarded to support female students with children. The application deadline is 30 September 2026.
