Circular - Recruitment and extension applications as of 01 January 2026

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen

Dear employees,

Due to the closure of the university at the turn of the year, I would like to remind you today that any applications for new hires or extensions of employment contracts must be administered before 23 December 2025 if the hiring date of 1 January 2026 or seamless employment is to be realised at this time. Both the work in the Personnel Service Centre and any necessary cooperation with the Staff Council require a certain lead time.

In order to be able to carry out a proper review and timely administration of your applications, I would therefore ask you to submit the complete recruitment applications for new hires (deadline 01 January 2026) to Department 4 - Human Resources Service Centre by 07 November 2025 at the latest. Please submit applications for extensions over the turn of the year by 21 November 2025 at the latest.

For employees from third countries, please note the known processing time of 3 months.

Please note that the necessary funding must be available to Unit 4.5 - Human Resources Management at the time the application is received.

If applications are received by the Human Resources Department after these closing dates, timely processing cannot be guaranteed.
