At a large, open university like Würzburg, thousands of people come together every day—in lecture halls, libraries, and public areas.

To make these spaces safer and to better investigate incidents, the university uses video surveillance at selected locations.

Video surveillance is an integral part of the security concept.
It is intended to help protect students, staff, and university facilities and to create a reliable environment for research and teaching.
