“Why should we hire you?” A convincing answer begins with knowing your own skills and the value you bring.

In this interactive workshop, students discover their professional and personal strengths and learn how to communicate them convincingly. Rather than simply repeating their CV during an interview, participants learn how to use specific examples and stories to demonstrate the value they can bring to a company and a team.

Students develop value-based arguments, practise self-presentation and apply their new skills in practical exercises and simulations. They also learn how to respond more confidently to objections and challenging statements.

Topics include:

  • Identifying your strengths and skills
  • Understanding the value you bring to an employer
  • Turning skills into convincing, value-based arguments
  • Self-presentation and personal pitching
  • Communicating clearly and confidently
  • Dealing with objections and counter-arguments
