Two Science Slams for the Anniversary
10/14/2025The Science Slam is celebrating its 10th birthday. There will be two events to mark the anniversary: a classic slam on Friday, 7 November. Plus a best-of from ten years on Saturday, 8 November.

What happens when researchers try to present their science in an understandable and entertaining way in a seven-minute lecture?
Anyone who wants to hear and see this should make a note of the second weekend in November. That's when two science slams in German language take place on the University of Würzburg campus.
The reason for the double event: the Science Slam, jointly organised by the university's Alumni Office in cooperation with the Technical University and the city, is celebrating its tenth anniversary.
Location: The anniversary Science Slams will take place on Friday and Saturday, 7 and 8 November 2025, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Z6 lecture theatre building at Hubland. University alumnus Johannes Keppner, presenter at Radio Gong, will host the evenings.
Tickets are available now for six euros. Those attending both slams can buy a combined ticket for ten euros. Tickets are available at the Falkenhaus on Marktplatz, at the student representation of the university at Hubland, at the libraries of the THWS in Würzburg and Schweinfurt and at the staff council of the University Hospital in Josef-Schneider-Straße in Grombühl.
