Let’s talk about sex

A wide range of activities will take place as part of Bavarian Prevention Day 2026 on 12 October in the Hubland Mensa. The programme is aimed at students and staff at Würzburg’s three universities.

As part of Bavarian Prevention Day on October 12, 2026, a joint initiative will take place under the slogan “Let’s talk about sex,” organized by Julius Maximilian University (Healthy University, occupational physicians, student representatives), the Health Department for the City and District of Würzburg, the Hepatitis Elimination Bavaria project, and the Lower Franconia HIV/AIDS Counseling Center.

The focus will be on information and advice on the topics of ‘sexual health, protection, vaccinations and testing for sexually transmitted infections’. Experts will be on hand at various information stands to answer questions and provide information leaflets.

In addition, rapid testing for HIV/syphilis and hepatitis C will be available. The tests are anonymous, free of charge and will take place in additional rooms in the canteen building.

The event is aimed at students and staff at the University of Würzburg. Students from the THWS and the Würzburg University of Music are also warmly invited to drop by.
