Dr. Mona Garvert, Junior Professor, Faculty of Human Sciences, has been reappointed as Junior Professor of Neuroscience at the University of Würzburg with effect from 31 May 2026.

Dr. Elisabeth Holl, Academic Councillor, Institute Human-Computer-Media, has been granted lifetime appointment into civil service with effect from 11 December 2025.

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Kiefer, former Head of the Institute of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at the University of Würzburg, was elected as a Foreign Fellow of The National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), which is the oldest science academy in India. Kiefer is known for his extensive contributions to the field of Raman spectroscopy and has received other honors such as an honorary doctorate and being named an Honorary Fellow of the Laser and Spectroscopy Society of India. 

Dr. Lea Lerch, Junior Professor, Institute of Historical Theology, has been reappointed Junior Professor of Franconian Church History and Regional Church History at the University of Würzburg with effect from 15 May 2026.

Sandra Mölter, Head of the KIS - Contact and Information Centre for Students with Disabilities and Chronic Illnesses (KIS) at the University - has been reappointed to the Advisory Board of the Information and Advice Centre for Studies and Disabilities of the Deutsches Studentenwerk. Members are appointed every two years; Mölter has been a member of the advisory board since 2014.

PD Dr. Viktoria Räuchle, Akademische Oberrätin, LMU Munich, will be employed on a transitional basis from 1 January 2026 until the position is permanently filled, but until 30 September 2026 at the latest, in the position of a university professor of grade W 2 for Classical Archaeology.

Sven Speek, Akademischer Oberrat, Research Advancement Centre, has been appointed Senior Academic Councillor with effect from 1 January 2026.

Dr. Dr. Andreas Vollmer, physician and dentist, Clinic and Polyclinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery, Head and Neck Surgery, was granted venia legendi in the field of "Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, in particular Experimental Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery" with effect from 9 December 2025.
