Dr Marta Andreatta, Research Associate, University Hospital Tübingen, Department of General Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, has been granted venia legendi in the field of psychology with effect from 3 February 2026.
Dr Julia Dietzsch, member of the scientific staff, Institute of Organic Chemistry, was appointed "Akademische Rätin" with probationary civil servant status with effect from 1 January 2026.
PD Dr Jan Erik Heßler, Akademischer Oberrat auf Zeit, Institute of Classical Philology, is temporarily employed in the position of University Professor of Classical Philology I - Focus on Greek Studies for the duration of Prof. Dr Jan Stenger's leave of absence for research from 1 April 2026 to 31 August 2026.
At the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bavarian Centre for Preventive Infection Medicine (BZI), Prof. Dr Oliver Kurzai, Head of the Chair of Medical Microbiology and Mycology, was elected President of the BZI Bavaria. He will thus assume a central role in the strategic development of the centre and in the coordination of cross-site collaboration between research, clinical care and the public health service. Prof. Dr Stefanie Kampmeier, holder of the Chair of Hospital Hygiene, was elected Section Spokesperson of the Bavarian Surveillance Centre (BaySurv). BaySurv is one of several programme areas of the BZI and deals with the continuous surveillance of relevant pathogens using modern molecular and data-based methods. Dr Hermann Neugebauer, Privatdozent in neurology, specialist, neurological practice Gschwendtner & Neugebauer in Germering, was appointed adjunct professor with effect from 27.01.2026.
Arne Pleyer, Central Administration, was appointed Head of Unit 3.5: Building Controlling: Building Maintenance and Small Construction Measures with effect from 1 February 2026.
Hanna Sendelbach, Central Administration, was appointed Deputy Head of Unit 3.5: Building Controlling: Building Maintenance and Small Construction Measures with effect from 1 February 2026.
Dr Alexander Soutschek, Ph.D., Research Group Leader, LMU Munich, has been appointed University Professor of Neuroscience of Decision Making (Heisenberg Professorship) at the University of Würzburg with effect from 1 March 2026.
