Prof Dr Franziska Faber, Institute of Hygiene and Microbiology, has declined an appointment at the University of Graz.

Andreas Hümmer, Information Technology of the Central Administration, was appointed acting Head of the Information Technology Unit with immediate effect and Head of the Information Technology Unit from 1 August 2026.

Bettina Klein, Referat 4.1: Übergreifender Personalservice, was appointed Head of Unit 4.1 with immediate effect.

Dr Jürgen Kößler, Privatdozent in Transfusion Medicine, Academic Director, Central Facility for Clinical Transfusion Medicine and Haemotherapy, was appointed "Außerplanmäßiger Professor" with effect from 8 May 2026.

Dr Laura Otto, Junior Professor, Institute of German Philology, has been reappointed Junior Professor of Rural Anthropology at the University of Würzburg with effect from 1 October 2026. She also has been granted venia legendi in the field of "European Ethnology/Empirical Cultural Studies" with effect from 11 May 2026.

Prof. Dr. Alfred Reichling, professor of music education from 1980 to 1993, passed away on May 14, 2026, at the age of 95.

Dr Miriam Schwebler, member of academic staff, Institute of German Philology, has been appointed "Akademische Rätin" with probationary appointment into civil service with effect from 10 May 2026.

Dr.-Ing. Ute Steinbauer has been employed as an administrative employee in Department 1.5 since 18 May 2026.

Ms Eva Vana will start as an administrative employee in Department 6 on 1 July 2026.
