Dr. Katharina Breininger, University Professor (pay grade W 2), CAIDAS, has been appointed appointed to a tenured professorship of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) at the University of Würzburg with effect from 15 December 2025.

Dr. Jonas Czwikla, Research Associate, University of Oldenburg and University of Bremen, has been appointed University Professor of Health Services Research at the University of Würzburg with effect from 1 January 2026.

Bastian Ehrenfels has been appointedt Forstoberinspektor with probationary appointment into civil service with effect from 1 January 2026 and assigned to the University Forestry Office.

Dr. Laëtitia Farinacci, Research Associate, University of Stuttgart, has been appointed Junior Professor (pay grade W 1) for Solid State Physics (Edna Carter Professorship) at the University of Würzburg with effect from 1 January 2026.

Dr. Matthias Fröhlich, specialist in internal medicine, family practice Kubens Freiburg im Breisgau, was granted authorisation to teach in the field of internal medicine with effect from 16 December 2025.

Dr. Clemens Grimm, Akademischer Oberrat, Theodor Boveri Institute of Bioscience, has been appointed Academic Director with effect from 01.01.2026.

Sven Kapelle will be employed in the Technical Service at Department 6: Service Centre Technical Operations from 01.02.2026.

Dr. Stefan Kleinert, Private Lecturer in Internal Medicine, Physician, Joint Practice Rheumatology Nephrology Erlangen, has been appointed "Associate Professor" with effect from 27 December 2025.

Dr. Alicia von Schenk, Junior Professor, Institute of Economics, has beenappointed to a tenured professorship of Economics of AI and Human Behavior at the University of Würzburg with effect from 1 January 2026.

Torsten Ullrich has been employed in the technical service at Unit A.3 since 15 January 2026.
