Dr. Markus Burghardt, Akademischer Oberrat, Julius von Sachs Institute of Biological Sciences, was appointed Akademischer Direktor with effect from 1 January 2026.
Dr. Katrin Fischer, Akademische Rätin, Institute of Philosophy, has been granted lifetime appointment into civil service with effect from 1 December 2025.
Linda Franz has been employed as a member of the administrative staff in Unit 4.2 since 1 December 2025.
Christian Koderhand has been employed as a member in the Technical Service at Unit 5.2 since 1 December 2025.
Elvina Oeß has been employed as a member of the administrative staff at the President's Office since 1 December 2025.
The Adolf and Inka Lübeck Prizes for the best students in the 2025/II dentistry exams were awarded to Samuel Gedemer (1,000 euros) and Meret Mergner (500 euros). The prizes were donated by Inka Lübeck in 1977. She wanted to honour the memory of her husband, the Würzburg dentist Adolf Lübeck, who had died four years earlier.
