Dr Philip Kollmannsberger, University Professor, University of Düsseldorf, has been appointed University Professor for Translational Bioimage Data Science at the University of Würzburg with effect from 1 November 2025.

Dr Stefano Navarro, Postdoc at the Chair of Experimental Biomedicine I, shares the Hentschel Prize 2025, endowed with 5,000 euros, with Dr Laurens Winkelmeier from the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. The two were honoured for their contributions to stroke research. The Würzburg Hentschel Foundation has honoured scientific findings on the prevention, diagnosis or treatment of stroke with the prize, which has been awarded annually since 2011. The award ceremony took place as part of World Stroke Day on 29 October 2025 in the presence of the foundation's founder, Dipl.-Ing. Günter Hentschel, at the Centre for Operative Medicine at Würzburg University Hospital.

Dr Wiebke Voß-Bäder, Junior Professor, Institute of Civil Law and Civil Procedure, has been reappointed Junior Professor of Private Law at the University of Würzburg with effect from 25 January 2026.
