The 36 female and 13 male graduates of the 2026/I dental degree programme at the University of Würzburg recently received their degrees. The two top-performing students had particular cause for celebration: they were awarded the Adolf and Inka Lübeck Prize. The first prize, worth 1,000 euros, was awarded to Sara Nina Müller-Bongartz, whilst the 500 euros for the second prize went to Lisa Schippan. The Adolf and Inka Lübeck Prize was established in 1977: Inka Lübeck wished to honour the memory of her husband, the Würzburg dentist Adolf Lübeck, who had died four years earlier. Since Inka Lübeck’s death in 1990, the prize has been awarded under its current name.

Prof. Dr Matthias Jung, Institute of Computer Science, has declined appointments at the University of Kassel and the University of the German Armed Forces in Munich.

Dr Carolin Wienrich, university professor (pay grade W 2), Institute Human-Computer-Media, has been appointed, with effect from 1 July 2026, to the post of University Professor (Grade W 3) in Computer Science VI (Psychology of Interactive Systems) at the University of Würzburg.
