CHARM-EU Masters: new mentors wanted

06/09/2026

The CHARM-EU Master's programme Global Challenges for Sustainability enters its second year at the University of Würzburg in September - and CHARM-EU is once again looking for mentors for the new students.

The CHARM-EU mentors accompany the students throughout the four semesters of their Master's programme. The time commitment comprises around three hours of contact time per student and semester, as well as a further hour for written feedback. All new mentors receive online training in which they learn the basics of the Master's programme and practical tips on mentoring.

Ideally, one mentor should supervise at least two students, but exceptions are also possible.

Requirements and contact

A prerequisite for taking on a mentorship is a completed Master's degree and an interest in supporting international students. Knowledge of English is an advantage; however, individual language preferences can also be taken into account when assigning mentors. Mentoring offers the opportunity to gain an insight into an innovative international Master's programme, gain intercultural experience and build on your own time as a student.

All existing and new mentors at the University of Würzburg will be invited to a joint meeting in autumn to exchange experiences, share ideas and get to know each other.

If you are interested, please contact Laura Eckert. Enquiries should include the preferred mentoring language as well as the preference regarding the specialisation of the students (Water, Food, Life & Health or Energy & Sustainable Cities).
