Poster presentation: "Cultural mediation to go"

From cosplay make-up to a transformed cigarette machine. On Wednesday, 21 January 2026, students from the University of Würzburg will present projects that were created as part of the additional qualification in cultural mediation.

All interested parties are invited to the public poster presentation. Students of the additional qualification in cultural mediation will report on their diverse practical experiences.

Whether it's forms of mediation on cosplay make-up, the implementation of a democracy game, the organisation of a literature chat (date: 23.01., Kellerperle), educational trips, reading lessons of intercultural stories in kindergarten, an inter-institutional educational project or the transformation of a cigarette machine into a "Literat-O-Mat" for Würzburg - the students show how varied cultural mediation work can be.

Time and place

The event will take place from 13:00 to 15:00 in the corridor of the Philosophy Building between Building 4 and Building 5. The audience will learn more about the exciting projects in entertaining 5-minute presentations.

Presentation slots: 13:00 to 13:30 and 13:45 to 14:15

During the remaining time, the students will be available for individual discussions at their posters.

In a relaxed atmosphere, all interested parties are invited to be curious, listen, ask questions and move on once their thirst for knowledge has been quenched.

A pop-up quiz entitled "Communicating culture, shaping society, winning leeks" will take place on 21 January at various locations in the Faculty of Arts in the run-up to the event and as an event promotion.
