ChatGPT now also features adverts in Europe. The ARD Tagesschau programme interviewed Alicia von Schenk, Professor of Economics of AI and Human Behaviour at JMU, to find out what the implications of this are.
How much exercise is beneficial? Professor Billy Sperlich commented on this question in the ‘Wissen’ section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung. The expertise of the JMU sports scientist was also sought by the FAZ and other media outlets.
In the documentary“Human Augmentation”, SAT1.Bayern showcased research in the field of Human-Computer Interaction at JMU. Among other things, the programme looked at the use of avatars for therapeutic purposes – such as treating a fear of heights – in virtual reality.
On 4 August 2026, Professor of Pharmacy Ulrike Holzgrabe was interviewed by Shanli Anwar on the science podcast WDR 5 Quarks. The topic was the shelf life of medicines – particularly important during periods of high summer temperatures.
