Girls' Day in the STEM subjects

03/24/2026

Girls' Day is on 23 April: schoolgirls can get to know professions in which hardly any women have worked so far. The university offers insights into the STEM subjects of biology, chemistry, maths, computer science and physics.

Girls' Day at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) on Thursday, 23 April 2026, will provide a wide range of insights into studying and career prospects in the STEM subjects of biology, chemistry, mathematics, computer science and physics.

Whether tinkering in the chemistry lab, programming for industrial robots, calculating in a circle, plant research up close or building a rocket - at Girls' Day 2026, the STEM subjects will showcase their full range.

Exciting experiments and real university air. The schoolgirls learn all about the degree programmes and the science behind the STEM subjects at first hand. In small groups, supervised by lecturers and students, the day offers a varied programme.

Registration and further information

Information on all programmes at JMU can be found on the website.
