Franconian quiz in the university library
04/14/2026"Des wess doch kenner!": This is the title of a new event format organised by Würzburg University Library. On 22 April, anyone interested can put their knowledge of Franconia to the test at a quiz evening.
In five varied categories, questions are asked from different subject areas - from history and geography to customs and current developments with a regional focus. Participants compete against each other in teams of two to five people.
After each category, the solutions are announced and the points scored are distributed. The breaks between the rounds provide an opportunity to take a deep breath, exchange ideas within the teams and enjoy a drink.
The quiz is led by the Franconian Regional Studies team. They will provide insights into the Franconica collection and categorise the quiz questions. The background to the individual topics is explained and placed in their historical, cultural and regional context.
The quiz format combines in-depth regional expertise with an entertaining competition and creates space for exchange, deepening knowledge and new perspectives on Franconia in the Würzburg University Library.
Time and place
It will take place on 22 April 2026 in the central building of the University Library on the Hubland South Campus, room 4 in the foyer; it starts at 7 pm. Teams can register via the Eveeno platform.
