The Franken Pub Quiz is moving on to the next round
10/06/2026Following the success of the first Franconian Pub Quiz, the University Library of Würzburg is once again inviting people to take part in a quiz on 13 October. Once again, it’s all about Franconia, knowledge of Franconia and the odd surprising answer or two.
How well do you really know Franconia? Following the huge success of the first edition, the Würzburg University Library’s Franconia Pub Quiz is back for another round. Under the slogan “Surely we know that one!?”, on 13 October from 7 pm in Room 4 in the foyer of the Central Library at Hubland, participants will once again be puzzling over questions, discussing them and competing to find the correct answers.
Across five varied categories, questions on history, geography, customs, culture and other topics with a regional focus await. It’s not just about winning: the Pub Quiz combines knowledge of Franconia with an entertaining and sociable evening at the University Library.
Staff from the Franconian Regional Studies Department will once again be hosting the evening. Alongside tricky questions, they’ll provide background information and surprising stories about Franconia and the Franconica collection at the University Library of Würzburg.
Fancy taking part? For those deciding at the last minute, there are currently two places still available for teams of up to five people. If you’d like to join in, you’ll need to be quick. If the places are already taken, you can still sign up for the waiting list.
