04/21/2026The Doctoral Day for Master's students and doctoral candidates will take place at JMU on 13 May - with lots of information about doctoral and career paths. The registration deadline is 4 May.
The JMU Graduate Academy is organising the first Würzburg Doctoral Day on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, from 11:00 to 17:00 as part of the Europe-wide "EU Doctoral Day" initiative.
"We are offering Master's students online, face-to-face and hybrid information on how to do a doctorate in Germany and in Würzburg," says Natalie Rauscher, Head of the Academy. Doctoral students will receive information and networking opportunities on the topics of teaching, mental health, publishing and career prospects.
One highlight is the career session: from 15:30 to 17:00, doctoral students, postdocs and alumni will be available to talk about possible career paths.
The various support facilities for students and doctoral candidates at JMU will also be presenting themselves, including the Welcome Centre, the Writing Centre at ZBL, the Healthy University, the Diversity Coordination Office and the WueCommunity.
