From Egyptology to Dentistry - as a comprehensive university, Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg (JMU) offers a wide range of subjects. Since 2024, the university has been presenting selected degree programmes on film every year. Here, students put their subject in the spotlight!

In 2025, five programmes from the humanities went in front of the camera. The story behind it: "Worlds in dialogue - culture and perspectives"

Various departments at JMU work together to select the individual subjects. The films highlight current topics - such as migration or the increasing power of China and how we deal with it. Interested parties can thus see how the various subjects sharpen the view of our world and what opportunities studying at the University of Würzburg offers them.

In collaboration with the production company mindcore productions, a total of six films have been made, five films about the degree programmes and one overall film. Although the films spotlight individual subjects, they are also intended to draw attention to the university's diverse portfolio.
