CHARM-ED: Call for joint educational activities

02/10/2026

The CHARM-ED call promotes innovative, jointly developed educational activities within the CHARM-EU alliance. In particular, we are looking for short-term, intensive formats with a high student impact.

The focus is always on the pedagogical principles of CHARM-EU: challenge-based, student-centred, inclusive, technology-supported, transdisciplinary. Applications can be submitted until 27 February.

Various formats are eligible for funding, such as

  • Hackathons, compact workshops, COIL formats
  • micro-credentials, summer schools, preparation of joint degree programmes
  • Virtual exchange formats, co-teaching, guest lectures
  • Transnational Online Learning (TOL)
  • Involvement of external partners (e.g. business, NGOs, service learning)

Thematic focus

Many topics are possible, but content that is future-proof, socially relevant and sustainable is of particular interest.

Green skills & sustainability, digital skills, AI & cybersecurity, circular economy, innovation & entrepreneurship and health in old age. Inclusion and mobility - especially for women and vulnerable groups - are expressly encouraged.

Funding

  • EUR 1,000 to 5,000 per project
  • Project duration: March-November 2026
  • At least two CHARM-EU partner universities required
  • Deadline: 27 February 2026
  • Project period from March 2026
